An opinion is almost always inherently biased is what Ninetales and I are getting at.

Mysterious Ways by U2 is objectively a 9.5/10 guys and that's an unbiased rating

I mean at least be honest with yourself and admit there's bias in the ratings

I could say that Mysterious Ways is a 9.5 and you could say that it is a 6. That's our opinions. If I was best friends with Bono and gave it a high rating just because he is my best friend instead of it being because of his music that would be bias.

No, I didn't say that, I was giving an example and nowhere did I say that I was friends with anybody in the Beastie Boys. And why would it be Adrock?

This might help:

1 : exhibiting or characterized by bias ; especially : prejudiced 2 : tending to yield one outcome more frequently than others in a statistical experiment <a biased coin> 3 : having an expected value different from the quantity or parameter estimated <a biased estimate>

I was gonna say that your opinion is in fact biased simply because you've heard these 900 songs before...thus you already have an opinion of them

Not to be a buzzkill or anything but it seems like OP means well and is trying to make an actual contribution to the place. Personal feelings on said contribution aside, can't we try to be a bit nicer to him? It's not as if he's trolling or posting links to his bandcamp.
