I agree with that. Sometimes I wonder if I'm not giving something a fair shake but there are times you know something is not going to grow on you so better just to bail on it.

It's just his off pitch wailing and nagging narrative. I sat through 22 excruciating tracks with Among the Leaves and it was clear to me that he had abandoned putting any effort into his music.
I saw it more as a ploy of how little he could get away with whilst people would still lap it up.

1. New Madrid - Sunswimmer (Psycheldelic rock and alternative rock)
2. Delay Trees - Readymade (Dream pop, post- punk from Finland)
3. The Wheel Workers - Past To Present
4. Mac Demarco - Salad Days
5. Needtobreathe - Rivers in the Wasteland
6. Spoon - They Want My Soul

Haven't heard much from this year but I like a lot of what I've heard.

The new Lana Del Rey was a little sleepy for me. She is a great artist, but I couldn't connect to any of her songs like I could the previous album.
I haven't been paying much attention to 2014, but so far a few of my favorites include:
St Vincent- St Vincent
Rupaul- Born Naked(judge away, I love me some queen auto-tuning)
I Killed The Prom Queen-Beloved
La Roux- Trouble in Paradise
Die Antwoord- Donker Mag
Jack White- Lazaretto
Lindsey Sterling- Shatter Me
Suicide Silence- You Can't Stop Me

I too am enjoying Lazaretto. Sounds very different from previous anything he's done.
