31. Deerhoor - Runners Four (2005)

Start by knowing Deerhoof is a Noise/experimental rock group with slight of jpop influence, their main singer Satomi uses vocals that sound like little japanese ditties that somehow organize all the chaotic guitars and noise arrangements of the songs.

It's not a band that everybody will get but once you do get them you'll quickly see they are amazing musicians.

This album altered my perspective on how i view rock music in general, it is that good and what's best the whole album is consistently good, every track has something going for it and the whole album runs perfectly.

32. Green Day - Dookie (1994)

It belongs on lists like this and I don't give a ****. It's already on a ton as it is. Landmark alternative album, influential to modern bands from all around, helped give punk rock a wider audience, still widely praised, singles galore, all of that. This is always gonna be one of my favorites.

33. Lana Del Rey - Ultraviolence (2014)

This will come as a surprise to nobody who pays attention to my posts on here. But damn it if it ain't true. This album is fucking great. I don't care about all the baggage associated with her and her music, I just love it. So what if she's a phoney? I like listening to music, not concerning myself with the integrity of the artist in question.

The production on the album is quite literally flawless. Every song is lavishly whirled in a sonic bliss. Her lyrics ain't all that but my god, her vocals are amazing. Clearly some tracks have overlay and other effects which enhance the vocals but, again, who cares?

Overall, if you haven't, listen to this shit. And give it another chance if you already have.

34. Burzum - Hvis lyset tar oss (1994)

Nowadays, ambient music is almost commonplace in black metal. Thanks, Varg. This one is among the more atmospheric works off his earlier endeavors, along with Filosofem. But really, any and all of those first four could be here, they're black metal as ****. Someone doesn't know what black metal is? Throw on the first Burzum album and they'll never forget.
