I guess that's cause it's the debate in and of itself. What it is is a profession on what it believes to be music, so it's just the perfect analogue for either side of the discussion. *shrug*

Pretty much. It's just one of those things that gets people entrenched in their beliefs, and rather than compromise they just sort of repeat "I think it's music" or "I don't think it's music" over and over. That's been the last twenty or so pages of this thread.
