I'm kinda jealous I didn't get any musical influence through my parents. My big sis did turn me on to R&B and hip hop. Stuff like Janet Jackson and bone thugs & harmony.Nowadays she listens to stuff like Drake and sh*t like that.

I could deal with Sammy Hagar if the guitars weren't completely buried under the keyboards. The album isn't completely awful when you can actually hear Eddie's guitar (just mediocre) but otherwise...

I listened to Van Halen as a kid and got sick of them by the time I was ten.

My musical 'life' started growing up with a range of classic rockl- The Rolling Stones, The Who, Queen and T-Rex featured heavily, as well as current bands at the time like Oasis and Blur. There was also a lot of ska and reggae at my house. I had a brief foray into pop and r&b as a kid trying to keep up with my peers, before I realised how personally I find most of it is trash and returned to my original listens, and started getting deeply into the blues and country. I hooked onto The White Stripes when I was about 13 and my music taste has evolved out of that. I was introduced to Black Sabbath, Motley Crue, Aerosmith, Thin Lizzie and Guns n Roses by my older brother as a teenager too. I've spread out a bit now, but I'd still say I predominantly listen to rock (classic and new), country and a bit of pop music.

Classic rock, country, pop, and hopefully metal are all cool with me, as are Blur and Oasis. Hate GNR, but love love love Black Sabbath and Motley Crue.
