Default Drummers who became frontmans etc.

Hey,
i don't know if this is a right place to ask, but i sure hope it is

Do you know any musicians who changed instruments they were playing on in some bands?
I mean like Dave Grohl, who was a drummer in Nirvana but then became a guitarist and singer in Foo Fighters, Jack White who is a drummer in The Dead Weather or Josh Homme who was drumming in Eagles of Death Metal.
Also i could really use a list of musicians who weren't frontmans in their first serious bands, but became them later in other big projects. Once again, Dave Grohl is a great example.
Thanks in advance, best regards

Billy Idol was originally the guitarist for a band called Chelsea.

Lemmy from Motörhead was originally the bassist for Hawkwind. Not that he stopped playing bass, but he did become a frontman and singer.

Bob Dylan was briefly the pianist in Bobby Vee and the Shadows.

Trent Reznor was the keyboardist for the bands Lucky Pierre and Exotic Birds before striking out on his own.

Phil Collins is the first name that comes to mind.

I was a great drummer, and now I'm nothing! Just like Phil Collins.

Bon Scott and Iggy Pop both started as drummers.

One modern metal band out of San Antonio Texas that is currently gaining major headway within the music industry is Nothing More, and their latest single Mr MTV.

The lead singer Jonny Hawkins was the original drummer. Paul O'Brian now holds the position.

Check them out if your into metal. I caught these guys live show in Baton Rouge Louisiana a year or so back and they really have an outstanding stage show, these guys work hard.

Belinda Carlisle was the drummer for the Germs at one stage, but as far as I know she remained a woman.

Chris Cornell was originally the drummer for Soundgarden. Yes, he still did vocals...luckily he realized drumming and vocals probably wouldn't work too well.
