Are there any albums that your parents were always playing that you still listen to today?
The only one that immediately comes to mind for me is Hair of the Dog. I got sick of Whitesnake and Guns & Roses very early into my childhood, but Nazareth still slays.

My dad had Album of the Year (CD) and King For A Day, Fool For A Lifetime (cassette) by FNM, and he played those two all the time. They're my all time favorite band now. There's a lot more generic ones (Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, etc), but some others that he jammed a ton were Chokebore and Cop Shoot Cop. He had all their albums respectively on CD, played them all the time, and once again two of my all time favorite bands. Integrity was played a lot too.

I don't come from a very musical family and i didn't grew up with my father around so neither of my parents influenced me musically.
My mother only listened to cheesy power ballads they played on the radio but she never bought any albums My aunt (Bless her soul) was one of the few around me who introduced me to Mecano and Yuri albums which were latin pop rock artist but to my recollection i can't pinpoint a single album from them either. My big sister collected R&B cassettes from Mariah, CeCe peniston, Mary j blige and her idol, Janet Jackson. The only album i can recall that was constantly playing in my house is Janet's 5th album 'Janet' ![]() Quote:

None. The only album that mattered from either of my parents when I was young was this one.
Made my groin feel kinda sparkly for some reason. ![]()

my mother doesn't listen to music. my father listens to italian singer-songwriters and (rarely) Rock of the 60's, 70's and 80's. But we never shared music.
My brother listens to Alternative Rock and I made my first steps in the music world thanks to him. Btw, nowadays, the only album I discovered thanks to my family that I still listen to, is "Three Imaginary Boys" by The Cure |

My dad is a massive Bowie fan and I got into him through that but no particular album. He also introduced me to The Specials debut album and Thin Lizzy's Jailbreak. |
