I like Janet Jackson, I remember hearing some songs by her on Mtv, but I agree with everyone else. From what I remember, she wasn't that big a deal, just another pop musician with actual talent. If she wasn't MJ's sister I don't feel like she would have been such a big name, but she is, so I can't just ignore that fact.

Brandy, Aaliyah, and TLC are all bigger, better names to me.

This is the one thing anyone has mentioned that is legitimately iconic. So, I guess if she's iconic, it's because she made a spectacle of herself (and because of her brother), cause it's certainly not because of her music.
