Exclamation Finding reasonably priced rare groove

Does anyone have tips on finding rare funk/soul 45's and LP's for reasonable prices? Every seller online, e.g. discogs knows what they're selling, so original pressings command outrageous prices. So do you people know the best types of location for rare groove crate digging, where people don't really know what they're selling? thanks.

Garage sales really are the best place for that type of thing. You could also try record stores but generally they know what they have (thanks a lot, Internet) but sometimes you'll find a gem in the dollar bin.

The internet has made it so hard lmao. Sad times. Yeah but I'll make sure to check garage sales. Those seedy looking record shops look good, the ones that look real run-down with LP's stacked to the ceiling.

Thrift stores. One kid's record collection left behind as he goes off to University is another man's treasure!
