Default Bands that use a lot of slap bass?

I've asked this before in individual threads but I guess I should just ask in the general forum in hope someone knows some.

I'm looking for more bands/artists that use a lot of slap bass in their sound. Doesn't really matter what type of music, I´ll see if I´ll like it. I'm asking this because slap/pop bass is like, my music fetish.
Ones I already know: Graham Central Station/Larry Graham , Betty Davis, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Infectious Grooves, Maximum the Hormone, Primus(and all of Les Claypool´s side projects', I guess Fishbone and Faith No More, but I don´t like them too much.
Ones that do it rarely: Parliament/Funkadelic, Rage against the Machine (in the song Take the Power Back), Sly & The Family Stone, Suicidal Tendencies. Edit: Big Boys, can't believe I forgot them. One of the best punk bands I know.

I think Parliament/Funkadelic used a slap bass more than "rarely".

Maybe it's because I've only listened to the earlier stuff, mostly. I did hear it a lot on funkadelics most popular album.

These are some of my favorite funk bands featuring slap bass players and many are my primary influences:

Slave (Mark Adams)
The Brothers Johnson (Louis Johnson)
Brick (Ray Ransom)
David Sanborn (Marcus Miller)
Cameo (Aaron Mills)
Lakeside (Marvin Craig and Otis Stokes)
Pleasure (Nathan Philips - and he is a badazz)

Theres more but these will get you started

As OP said, Primus and RHCP do it the most, as I can remember.

You guys all realize that it started in the 1970s, when there were TONS of badass slap bass players all thumping their asses off long before RHCP and Primus ever existed?

Bill Laswell uses it pretty often, as grindy pointed out with the Massacre and Material tracks. I think that Primus is the best example though.

Level 42, for the win?

Get The Funk Outta My Face - Brothers Johnson

The Brother Johnson were brothers "George aka 'Lightnin' Licks' and Louis E. Johnson aka 'Thunder Thumbs'."

The Brothers Johnson - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

First Come, First Serve - Rose Royce

I found this song because Daft Punk sampled it. Rose Royce was known for their 70s hit Car Wash. The Keyboard player used a 4 voice Oberheim synth. So I don't know if what I hear is a slap bass or the synth.
