Why so on the offense? Did I say something offensive to you? I don't recall. If all your trying to do here is win an argument by getting overly-technical about this whole thing, then fine. I'll concede you. I refuse to get dragged into a dumb argument. I'd say the members of the bands I mentioned are about as household as any other rock band member in history. Maybe not as much as some, but most.

Whatever the case may be. I just wanted the community's opinion if I'm too old to pursue this goal? Yes or no? Most people have said no so I guess that's it.

No, just pointing out there's a huge difference between the two.
There's no reason you can't be in a successful band but it doesn't mean you'll be rich or famous, and as far as being an individual in a band with celebrity status and star power, there's not much call for it.

That's what I'm saying.

I don't think you have to be a household name to be a rockstar. Point is, your playing for a band that is world famous. Lots of people admire your playing/songwriting. That's what I'm looking for.

You know, I think your problem is that you expect thinking human beings to empathize with the desire to be a "rock star," which is pretty much just a myth, anyway. You what? Want strangers to love and adore you because they see nothing but the shallowest part of you? Want the adoring eyes of millions? Want tons of money? What you are chasing is the wind. It's dust. It's impossible. You want to be mythologized and turned into an icon? Start a cult. If you want to make music, make music, but don't think that this so-called rock star dream is anything more than a childhood flight of fantasy. If you want to pursue music as a career, I can get behind that. Go for it. Do your ****ing best. But don't try to become a god, because nobody can do that (except Kanye, blessed be Yeezus).

I hate to break it to you, bud, but pretty much none of the bands on your list are admired by anybody worth being admired by.

Are you sure you were in Honors English? This is the third time you've made this mistake.

If there's anything that infuriates me more than anything, it's some little know-it-all correcting me on my grammar/speech. Get a life.

Gosh, this community is hostile and full of rude people. It's your lucky day, I'll never be back here again.

You are not even worth arguing with. I'm not much of an internet person. Just thought I'd give it a try and see what people's opinions might be of my goals. I'm getting into it with a bunch of digital-age computer nerds like you.
