Might even find some stoner metal for her.

Spoiler for I bequeeth to you...:
Power/trad metal I know you'll LOVE.

Some stoner metal that might be a shot in the dark, but it's short, so give it a shot.

Love those videos! I've become quite a rap fan in the last year or so. But definitely love my mainstream, indie pop/rock and metal. You would have loved my playlist as a teenager. I was a metal freak because all my friends got me into it.

I like what Freebase Dali said then in the original "Spill Your Guts II: What You Think About MB Members' Taste In Music," it rings true today.

cool thread, bats
You listen to way more stuff that I don't know than do, so it's obscure to me at least. I don't really know how to describe my definition of indie, but think bands like WHY?, The Microphones, The Magnetic Fields and junk.

Those are all great artists though (or, the Microphones were, the Magnetic Fields were through the first third of 69 Love Songs, and Why? have a couple really good albums IMO). Is the criticism just that there's not enough range in Overcast/bulbasaur/whoever's taste, or is it that you don't like the bands you just named?

Plankton/Chula Vista: I'm combining you, because when it comes to my criticism I might as well be talking about the same person. You two seem to be old fogies who come here to talk about all the bands you already like rather than look for new bands. Nothing wrong with that, but fogies is fogies.

Dude Magnetic Fields are better than that. The first third is the strongest, but the whole album is worthwhile and their early albums like The Wayward Bus and Distant Plastic Trees are great too!

There's no criticism, that's just how I feel about their tastes. Like I said, they've got good taste and I like everything that they like pretty much (that I know). I think they have a fair enough range too. The same could be said for someone like Frownland, he's got one of the best tastes here imo, but I almost can't handle how experimental it is, just all the time.

Oh, no, I think all of their albums before 69 Love Songs are awesome - I phrased that awkwardly, my bad - but 69 Love Songs itself is inconsistent and at times annoying (I get that it's the concept, but if the songs aren't good the concept doesn't work).
