What EXACTLY is going on here? Are they losing their virginity or something? And why does he want to hide?! It's clear that they are both terrified.

The lyrics sound extremely nervous as is, but they are so scared they have to turn the lights off now, too? Kids!

Not so much the lyrics, but the combination of facetious fawning and smug togetherness in this song still makes my skin crawl :-
