It has zero effect on my opinion of his other albums, I'll always find his VO work and albums like Transformer to be utterly superb, but if I'm talking about his legacy as a whole it's hard not to bring up my opinions of MMM or Lulu and be like "he was somehow the driving force behind some albums I seriously despise as well"

Good luck with that. You seem to be developing an unhealthy obsession with the album, maybe just go throw on White Light/White Heat or something.

I don't like that one much either

I'll just go throw on S/T or S/T+Nico and have a great time

Sister Ray is such a chore for me to get through and that's like 40% of the album's runtime or something lol

I happen to like MMM quite a bit. It's layers of feedback almost becomes beautiful sometimrs. It really is the precursor to noise music like Merzbow and the like.

But those lyrics dude. I remember the time I first heard "too busy sucking on a ding dong." It really stuck with me.

aka music that I find to be terrible, so this isn't very convincing to me

I don't see how I could ever find "layers of feedback" to be beautiful, hell that's something I've even used in my own music but it's not an hour long and it's meant to be extremely unpleasant in the context of the song I'm using it in. I'll never see why an hour straight of just that is considered by some people to be anything more than self-indulgent garbage

There's this thing called music taste that varies from person to person. My guess is that people who listen to it often do so because, well, they enjoy it. Pretty simple actually.

Cool, and I described my music taste regarding noise while you have described yours. You think mine is stupid in this case and I think yours is stupid in this case. Not really sure the reasoning for the above post.
