So it's double albums you want, eh?

Get the ****ing thing AWAY from me!
Anyway, I've suffered through that already. This is for albums I haven't heard, remember?

When I got into town
Odd jobs mam ah yer horse I’ll fodder
I’m the round house man
I once was yer father
Uh little up the road uh wooden
Candy stripe barber pole
‘n above it read uh sign “Painless Parker”
Lic-licorice twisted around under uh fly
‘n uh youngster cocked ‘er eye
God before me if I’m not crazy
Is my daughter
Come little one with yer little dimpled fingers
Gimme one ‘n I’ll buy you uh cherry phosphate
Take you down t’ the foamin’ brine ‘n water
‘n show you the wooden tits
On the Goddess with the pole out s’full sail
That tempted away yer peg legged father
I was shanghaied by uh high hat beaver moustache man
‘n his pirate friend
I woke up in vomit ‘n beer in uh banana bin
‘n uh soft lass with brown skin
Bore me seven babies with snappin’ black eyes
‘n beautiful ebony skin
‘n here it is I’m with you my daughter
Thirty years away can make uh seaman’s eyes
Uh round house man’s eyes flow out water
Salt water

Whew I'm glad you liked that one even though it wasn't my rec that album is an absolute masterpiece and I'm suprised you didn't care for all the spoken word samples to me they add a nice contrast to some of the more atmospheric epic parts. And the old guy talking about the beach is suppose to be a metaphor for the collapse of society.

It's interesting that you seem to dislike spoken word snippets and the like. I know they're not music per-se, but in the wider context of the album they generally add a lot.

All in the first post. The ones being worked on at the moment are in Orange and also show as images at the top.

Yeah possibly on further listens. I really didn't hate much at all about it, other than the damn kids singing. Like a knife to my heart.

I don't really hate spoken word (I loved Shatner's album); I just don't care for it on its own. After all, it's in DSOTM, Marillion's "Forgotten sons" (shut up Frown!) and of course a lot of Waits material (I said....) so no, I don't hate it. But it has to engender the right feeling in me, and often taped conversations, audio extracts and so on don't do it. Not saying they never do, but sometimes they just don't feel right.

Not that it matters, but I don't think so. I have three True Love albums so far: one from you, one from bob and one from DWV...?
