That limit on album length is really supressive and will cut out a lot of great albums. Personally that limit seems ill-advised. I'd rather you get through the albums more slowly and have as wide a selection available as possible.

Anyway, you should know by now that I don't respond to that kind of bullish attitude, and comments like yours will only harden my resolve. Let me just clarify AGAIN, this is ONLY until after Metal Month III. I understand it's awkward for people but at the moment I have so much to do I have to place a limit on what I undertake here. After MM, everything can go back to the way it was. This is only so that I don't burn out from overwork.

Edit: @ JTF: You know what your problem is? Attitude. You're always pushy like this. If you had asked nicely maybe I would have reconsidered (though I really think over 30 tracks is pushing it, especially in a genre I don't have much interest in) and although you said "please just listen to it" your attitude at the beginning belay that. You're always trying to force your choices through, and I'm just tired of being browbeaten. So, as far as any other albums are concerned, that fall outside this new temporary ruling, I'll arrange them to be listened to after October, but as for J ****ing Dilla, you've now pushed me so far that I won't listen to him under any circumstances. You really need to learn that when I make a rule, or a decision, you need to respect it and not keep trying to change my mind, bully or cajole me, and throw vague insults my way. It ain't ever gonna work, and it will only turn things even more against you. Petty? Yes, maybe, but then as I said, this is my thread and if you don't respect the rules, the guidelines and me, then this is the response you'll get.

Like I said to you before: play nice or don't play at all.

Expectations: Normally, hip-hop, I wouldn't be too optimistic, but given the experience I had with Yeezus, there might just be hope here.

Nice opening on the piano, then soft synth comes in with the percussion, vocal is good and it's nice to hear he's actually singing not rapping right away. Like the melody, the chord progression. The lyric is good. Even the rap is not bad. Changes into singing halfway and follows the melody of the music. Sounds like violin or cello there too. Yeah I really like this.

Conclusion: Again West surprises me. Not totally, as I already had my preconceptions knocked sideways by that album, but this was really a great little song.

So, Love or Hate? This is a Love.

In about 95% of cases, this will not come up, however when it does I will give my reasons for either moving it down the list or deselecting it completely. My decision, on these rare occasions, will be final and I would appreciate everyone's understanding about this. I am too busy to keep dancing around fencing with people, arguing over why I won't listen to their album. I'm almost certain that a large percentage of people here don't even consider what effect reccing a particular album will have on me --- is it too long, will I hate it, is it easily available etc --- before doing so.

This being the case, you should not be surprised if, for valid reasons, I decide not to include it. I'm eager to listen to everyone's selections, but the final decision does rest with me and I'm really under no compliment to anyone to listen to anything. So please, work with me not against me. If I deselect an album you'll be given the reason(s). Unless I've actually got it wrong, misconstrued something or missed something, don't engage in argument with me over why I won't listen to it. I do my best to respect all your choices, please do the same for me. Thanks.
