Nah you weren't harsh at all, I just feel like some people try too hard to avoid hurting my feelings sometimes. Gotta admit that "generic" stung a little bit though.
And I hear it a little more now on the Merzbit.

If you're wondering where I've been, I've been frolicking around in the magical land of audio issues after downloading Windows 10. Hopefully I'll be able to fix it soon, but as of now, I can't really do this. Sorry about that!
