Default Trailer music

Hello everyone,
I'm new in this forum.

I would like to ask you guys a question.
Can trailer music from movies be considered as a proper genre?
And if is an actual genre, does it have a specific name?
I'm really curious about this topic.

Thanks in advice for the answers.

Usually the music from trailers are stand alone. They're just used in trailers. You talking about musical scores or actual lyrical songs?

I'm talking about musical scores.
What a pity that doesn't exist an actual genre, I would have enjoyed it a lot.

Anyway, thanks for your answer

It is a genre. It's called "Film Scores".

You answered your own question guy/lady/ladyguy.

Yeah, Film score, original soundtrack (OST)

I feel like it deserves it's own subgenre under the ambient genre though

I think most people call it 'Soundtracks' or Original Soundtrack
