TV on the Radio.

Super Furry Animals.

I listened and thought, yeah they're pretty good. But **** em. Too late to catch up on a bunch of albums that kinda all sound the same, and that being a sound that's not really something I go crazy about.

I'll check that dictionary, but in the meantime I'm impressed - as is everyone else in the world - by your eloquence, obvious accomplishments and success, and the evidence of your blazingly high intelligence.

I know you'll agree that any Residents fan needs Renaldo and the Loaf

I totally forgot about Not Available. That would've topped the list.

Default Best Starting Places for Bands? Ask Here

OK, this thread is for people who want to know what a good starting place for getting into a band is so they can get into them. Anyone can answer. A good example of this is how I couldn't get into After the Gold Rush by Neil Young, so I started getting into Neil Young through Harvest and On the Beach. If you've been in a situation like that, feel free to ask.

I started this thread because I have one: best starting place for Melvins. I'm very new to sludge, so what's the best start? Houdini? Lysol? Bullhead?

After this, anyone can ask anything. I'll answer when I can

OK. Melvins for me. I've heard songs, but never full albums. Don't ask me what songs I've heard. Only one I know the name of is Hooch.
