Do you own an iPod?
I was thinking about picking one up, but they're so expensive. I've also heard bad things about their batteries. Does anyone here own one or have any experience with them? Are they good, bad, or just OK?
|
If I knew what an iPod was maybe i could help you out, but I don't... :p

I have an mp3 player, that is great and very useful, but I don't have an iPod.

30 gig video. Its an appendage of my body.
|
^same
mine is black though >;[ |
I don't follow the crowds. Apple can get screwed. What do they know about music? Sure they can make good components, but they don't know music. I am talking acoustics and such like. Sony phone + Sennhheiser headphones=MP3 heaven.
|
i have the 80 gig ipod video. its pretty good. they have the new video nano and ipod touch so you might want to check those out too.
|
30 gig video, black here. i've only filled up 3 gigs so far :(
|
I feel sorry for all you ipod owners......ipods are crap literally. especially the ipod video. The resolution is so much better on other players
|
i have a 30 gig video ipod, just dont have any videos on it
& i cant figure out how to add more songs to it on a new computer without having to completely wipe out my library & start over had to get my computer refurbed & it totally wiped out all my music so now i havent added a new song in like...several months piece of crap |
I own a Creative Zen 20 GB Sleek Photo
Works well, only problem is it likes to lock up sometimes while loading songs from the computer, have to restart it |
definately don't own one, nor plan on it anytime soon.
|
iPod owners spend more time putting music on it, than they do actually listening to it.
|
tru dat :)

I'm still using an iPod Mini - it went in for repair right at the outset of owning it but the replacement sent has been totally trouble free... it's Awesome!
|
Yeah ive had an ipod for years now. I cant leave home wit out it. Believe me they r worth the price.
|
I love my ipod, I hate itunes.
|
no ipod, jus a small 2GB Mp3 player wit 372 songs in it. Good enuff for me
|

haha 60gig isn't enough for you? I have a 4gb creative labs player, I can watch videos on it and carry about 534 songs......I'm happy with that. The way it looks is how the new video ipod nano's look. I swear they totally ripped the idea off from creative for that new ipod nano. I'd never support apple. Never buying a Mac or their stupid Ipod. |

mine is creative zenv. i like it better than the ipod..very easy to manage..
|
i have a 4gb ipod and i've never had trouble with it, but i have absolutely no room left on it. anyways, i wouldn't get an ipod. oh, some advice: if you're going to get an mp3, you might as well get the biggest one they have; none of this 4gb nonsense. You'll just want to buy a bigger one next week. = )
|
I have a 4 gig Nano. It's great in the car or walking but the sound quality sucks. Another more audio-based forum I'm a member of says that the Zune is the best sounding, best featured, supported player.
But convience, rules. Better than no music. |
Yuck
I don't own an IPOD, but I know a lot of people who do!!
My sisters breaks down all the time. When i went to get an MP3 player I stayed away from the IPODS. I get myself a Creative Zen, 30 GB and it was cheaper than an Ipod and I love it!! |
I was on the city bus yesterday and I swear to god I counted 15 people with white headphones......
I love my ipod....I keep having to upgrade thou first I had a Nano , then a video 30G and now I have a 60G one and its almost filled :X I have had mp3 players (irivers, and Creative) in the past but I prefer an ipod. In fact I worked at a store where I sold mp3 players .I dont know what you people are going on about them breaking. I used to treat my ipod like gold when it was my nano. Then I went tree planting with my 30G and put it threw hell and have no problems at all, As long as you get a good case its pretty safe....the head phones are **** on the other hand |
I have an ipod, I have had one from new and yes the battery life is something of an issue, but i think that the benefits outweigh that, you have a USB charger and so you can charge it at any computer, or the pluf charger which you can use on the mains, i keep the usb lead in my bag so as long as i have access to a USB port i am sorted, plus i-tunes is a doddle to use. I would personally recommend one.
I would say from fully charged, i use mine for about 2 hours a day and i will go about 3 or 4 days without charging even then the battery is not completely dead |
you can get chargers that you dont need a Usb port. and I dont know what you guys are going on about Battery life I play mine from 6 in the morning till 3 in the afternoon so that is a good 10 hours of none stop playing. I find people drain the battery from playing around with it too much like picking a different song each time. Just make one play list for the day and go
