Stoner Rock's gonna be a hard one for me. I really like the stoner rock I've already heard (10+ albums), but that's not enopugh to decide on a big 4 at all. I know QOTSA is one vote of mine. I could go Milk Duct Tape, but they only have one EP, despite me thinking that EP is better than the best QOTSA albums.

Gonna start a new drinking game. Take a drink if JGuy mentions how many albums of a genre he's listened to. If he uses that number to appear superior to someone he's arguing with, chug the whole dang beer.

"Only heard ten albums" = I'm superior.

What is so pretentious about counting albums?

I love how you focus on one detail. Ha.

I keep going back forth in my mind about Monster Magnet and Clutch! I love them both so much, and I'm tied to say who. I originally said clutch but then changed. Now I want to change it back! Ugh! This is going to be a tough one.

I'm just saying I have a lot of listening to do in Big 4 before I can determine a personal Big 4. That was kind of the point of this, to get people listening to different styles in order to play a game, that way there's more to discuss and it ups forum activity.

The point was that you mention the amount of albums you listened to in a genre constantly. Not just in this thread, in any genre based thread.

And how often do I say I'm more experienced than anyone else in the genre? I can only think of grunge.

The hard part for me is differentiating between stoner rock and stoner metal. I'm going to need a little time.

Do Melvins count?

I haven't listened to Melvins in a while, but as I recall they crossover into grunge more then stoner... I should really listen to Melvins again. They're amazing.
