I know you will post tl:dr because despite being a writer, you have the reading capacity of a chimpanzee.
First off, don't insult my job. That's just a low blow.

Also, stop taking Kraut literally. You're the moron here, not me.

Why are you still trolling now that JGuy is gone? What's the point? Who are you hoping to piss off?

I am not criticizing your writing skills. I am criticizing your reading comprehension on the boards, by constantly posting "tl:dr" or twisting a person's position just so you can call them "retarded." And that has nothing to do with you job irl, but how you handle yourself on the boards.

But who ****ing cares? It's almost fifty years after the fact. It's the genre name, and I'm sure it was tongue-in-cheek and not at all meant to be demeaning. It's certainly a funny name, and that's really way more important than anything else.

Besides, Nea isn't here to make legitimate points. He hasn't been notable on this site since he trolled JGuy out of this thread and now he's trying to recapture old glories. Which is pretty sad.

Where did I comprehend the wrong thing. You started the argument by stating that Kraut shouldn't be a part of the genre name because it's the same name as lettuce in German. I said you're retarded because I've never heard anybody say that about any genre ever.

The fact that you continue to offer no actual points to your argument but instead insist on pissing people off for no gain is petty.

Also, the fact that you came into plug and booted Batty off the DJ and then left should tell everybody the kind of person you are. People can think you're nice, but you're a ****ing bull****ting *******.

I lean strongly in the direction of the Berlin School, (which I'll pretentiously call Deutsche elektronische / kosmische musik.) But I can't deny the tremendous importance of Amon Düül II. Besides, how badass do you have to be to have a bassist named Lothar?

I agree that Psy-Fi is spot-on with the essentials -

But off the voting record, I personally prefer any of the various musical incarnations featuring four key musicians:

Hans-Joachim Roedelius
Dieter Möbius
Manuel Göttsching
and Klaus Schulze

Yeah, but genres should never really be taken seriously when we have things like free jazz or afro pop or whatever else. Obviously, genres are not meant to be taken seriously, it's the bands within them that we take seriously.

However valid the statement regarding the seriousness of genres names may be, it simply doesn't enter into it. Like it or not, you don't get to decide what is or is not offensive to a culture.

I highly doubt Nea takes the offense in the way that a German would.
