Music you have overplayed, resulting in burnout?

There was this time when I was severely depressed that I downloaded Show me the meaning by Backstreet boys and played it over and over for about a month till I got over the incident. But, I found pace in it.

Also, I put them on the list with everything pre-2007 in mind. I think I started getting burned out after See You On The Other Side, and haven't given many listens to their albums they've released since. And I wasn't really sure how to feel about their dubstep one.

All of these I became obsessed with for a period. All of them I killed by over playing.

i honestly miss discovering an artist that i like so much, i spend weeks and weeks listening to only that band/singer/whatever until i get really sick of them.

i used to go through that a lot but i haven't in such a long time and it sucks :-(

The thing with the Stone Roses is that simply listening to their debut album makes some people feel amazing. I remember it happening to me. It was almost euphoric.

If that doesn't happen to you then I can see how they come across as boring.

So basically, if someone doesn't enjoy the album you could see how they don't enjoy that album?

I'm not entirely sure who counts as "Madchester" (for example, I saw one list say New Order counted, but only that one list seemed to say that, and I'd think they'd be on every list if they were commonly considered to be a Madchester band), but per the artists who seem to be frequently listed as Madchester, I think I've only heard Stone Roses and EMF. At that, I haven't the foggiest idea what Stone Roses sound like, because they didn't seem very interesting to me when I checked them out on youtube, and I never bothered with them after that, plus EMF I only know because of "Unbelievable," which was huge in the US in the early 90s. I wouldn't know another song of theirs.
