Default Is there such thing as a Rock Trio nowadays?

I'll explain...Every rock trio I see live (Rush, Muse, Greenday, etc) use a bunch of synchronized sounds and/or use other musicians in the background and I'm OK with that!

But I wonder if there is a pure three piece band out there?
One drummer, one guitar player and one base player.

Loads of them out there if you look. Here are a few I've seen fairly recently...

Little bit of a more interesting question in my opinion. Can you really consider them a trio since they have to have a touring member to play some of the guitar work?
