When I made my return last week, no doubt several phrases went through certain people's minds, including I'm sure "Oh **** no!" "What did I ever do to deserve this?" and "I told you we should have put rocks in his pockets!" But among these, the phrase "Love or Hate?" may also have been whizzing around the minds of some of you less homicidally-inclined people.
For those who missed it originally, "Love or Hate?" was a simple proposition, whereby I asked members to suggest albums that I had not heard. I would then listen to them and report back on whether I liked them or not. Simple, but it became wildly popular. It was also, however, wildly exhausting and I eventually put it to sleep after listening to about two hundred albums, many of which were good, some of which were great and a lot of which were just meh. But now, it's back! Well, sort of. Presenting .... ![]() This time there's no way I could listen to full albums; I have way too much to catch up on and so much to do. So it's single tracks only. They can be from albums or they can be singles, or whatever you like, as long as they follow the short list of rules below. Love or Hate? Redux Rules: Spoiler for Please read, especially if this is your first time reccing:
Results will be colour coded, as below: Blue for True Love: this is, as it suggests, a song or track I find to be totally amazing and mindblowing. Green for Love: Self explanatory, no? Orange for Like: A track I don't quite Love but don't Hate either. White for Meh: A track I'm either not really bothered by. Very mediocre. Red for Hate: Again, self-explanatory. Please do not take personal offence if I hate the track(s) you suggest: in playing, you are accepting that I may not like the same things you like, and I will not hesitate to say so. Annnnd GO! ![]()
