I normally do not start listening to Christmas music until Thanksgiving is here, but all of that changed when this recording and clip was released last December. It is the only song that I have not stopped listening to.

Most of the Christmas music on the radio is overplayed, obnoxious crap--espcially Mariah Carey. All I personally want for Christmas is to never hear All I Want For Christmas again. For the most part, the best Christmas music is from artists that commercial radio would never play, especially from indie rock artists.

Here's one of my favorite Christmas songs. I especially like where the guy is told "And I'm afraid you remind me of Santa Claus (pause) in a good way!"

^^^ I second what you say about the over played material. Another song that I change whenever it gets played is "All I Want For Christmas" from that Vince Vance and the Valiants act. The only way that I will listen to that song is when LeAnn Rimes sings it on her first Christmas album named What A Wonderful World which was released 20 years ago.

God bless you and LeAnn always!!!

Holly (a day one fan of her)

At first I liked some of the stuff that ended up being overplayed. But it lost something after the 1,546,988th play.

Here's a song I remember hearing on the radio on the way to my grandmother's house one Christmas season:

Winston Tong - The Twelve Days Of Christmas

The lead singer from Tuxedomoon offers this tune in which he receives gifts that are very differnent from those described in the original lyrics:
