You're saying Again, Brush Away, God Am, Sludge Factory, Grind, Over Now and Frogs are snoozes?

Bro, I'd have to go listen to the whole thing again to be able to tell you what sucks and what doesn't. But I'm gonna do it. Just for you.

God Am is pretty much their best song.

All the ones in blue I consider to be killer. What exactly don't you like?

I guess my biggest problem is that it tries to sludge, but holds back to give the more melodic material room to breathe, which makes the heavier aspects lame as ****. This creates a middling atmosphere that still somehow suffocates any of the more eclectic influences, leading to what I'd imagine isn't a million miles away from what I'd expect from pansy indie dweebs trying to make a metal album with the Melvins as their unwilling guide.

Also, the songs are too ****ing long and do nothing to justify their length.

tl;dr: this album is tedious bull****

I'll give you the song lengths they can go on for a while, but I don't really mind. I almost think of it as a sludge pop album especially on songs like Grind. Personally I think this works to its benefit.

The only way I can handle songs from AiC's s/t is when they show up on Unplugged. Other than that, I can't listen to anything past Dirt and their EPs. It doesn't help that I imagine Layne hanging on by a thread every time I listen to something on s/t.

I'll check that dictionary, but in the meantime I'm impressed - as is everyone else in the world - by your eloquence, obvious accomplishments and success, and the evidence of your blazingly high intelligence.
