BREAKING NEWS: I'M AT A DINER.

So far I've heard "I Want a New Drug", "Hold the Line" by Toto, and "All Night Long" by Lionel Ritchie.

Still better than country.

The Epic sucks and those fake ass writers wouldn't know jazz if it were sucking their dicks

Ignorant people who write sh*tty articles shouldn't define a musician's worth.

True, but if you recall, I said he was possibly the most overrated jazz musician. That is definitely determined by the music world's reception of the artist (I saw a lot of that **** outside of those two articles I posted too). That's where the term "saviour" came in.

Yeah, that makes sense, but I still don't fault the artist for that kind of stuff. I guess it comes down to something that really can't be argued which is that I don't let other people's opinions steer my interests. So basically a "I like what I like..." point of view which is very frustrating to have a discussion with because ...no sh*t you like what you like Exo.

The key here is that I don't give a sh*t how people rate Washington. I think he's a fantastic musician and put out a really stellar album. Not a God. He's a musician. If he came out and said that he's the jazz savior, then we'll talk.

I thought it was a decent record that was in over its head 75% of the time but had some great moments despite that fact. Combine that with people shoving it down my throat as the next landmark in jazz and that **** can get a little obnoxious.

Revisit it in a year and we'll see what changes, if anything.

It's already been out for two years and I have an extensive vocabulary with the genre so it's not like I'm writing it off for being spiritual jazz or anything. I'll probably throw it on again for ****s and giggles every once in a while but I can pretty firmly say that it's a 6/10 record.
