"Naive Song" by Mirwais.

EDIT: actually, i don't love it. it's just okay.

RonaldSays 07-23-2009 07:56 AM

"Let me entertain you" by Robbie Williams
Mediocre singer, mediocre composer, mediocre musician, but that song really kicks ass. Of course it could have been even better with a proper rock singer. He also had a ****ty band at that time (don't know about now). I really like the groovy piano riff.

Charlemagne 07-23-2009 09:01 AM

I like Alive with the Glory of Love by Say Anything, but I hate everything else they did.

crazymenrunningback 07-23-2009 11:46 AM

I hate linkin park but cure for the itch is amazing.

asshat 07-24-2009 12:07 AM

...it's sooooo smoooooovvve.

Mindles Self Indulgence - Never Wanted To Dance

I absolutely hate this band, and this song is so dumb, yet it manages to be a very fun song which makes it passable.

FaSho 07-25-2009 07:10 AM

I'm sorry...I really am.

Chaos 07-25-2009 09:39 AM

Inside The Fire - Disturbed
Perfect Insanity - Disturbed

Terriblescene 07-25-2009 09:42 AM

Alright, all of these are my guilty pleasures:

Iris - Goo Goo Dolls
Yellow - Coldplay
Sunday Bloody Sunday - U2

Freebase Dali 07-25-2009 11:51 PM

This probably doesn't really qualify for the thread...

But back when Buffy The Vampire Slayer TV series first came out in the late 90's, I really liked the theme song....

Who doesn't hate Linkin Park and with good reason. Especially us oldies into metal who remember the first wave of similar music that no one gave a crap about at the time. However I like the riff on this.

Another buch of tossers riding the coat tails but that riff is fecking great I have to say:

Yeah, great riff with that one. Fred Durst's probably the worst frontman in music history though.

Speaking of limpin' with the bizkit, this one has a top-drawer bassline. Decent riff too.

I really don't like Linkin Park for a plethora of reasons but quite a few of their songs I find myself enjoying a riff here and there.

I don't enjoy any of Limp Bizkit, though :(

boo boo 07-26-2009 08:40 PM

Yeah Points of Authority is like the only good Linkin Park song that I can think of.

And Break Stuff does have a cool riff, whenever a Limp Bizkit song has a shred of decency in it, it's almost always because of Wes.

gunnels 07-26-2009 09:01 PM

I like LP's first two albums. :shycouch:

Antonio 07-26-2009 09:39 PM

in defense of LP, Hybrid Theory is a pretty solid album

FaSho 07-26-2009 09:40 PM

^That's actually true. I also like the song Hands Held High from their newest album.

Seltzer 07-26-2009 11:29 PM

I agree that Cure for the Itch (Linkin Park) was a good song.

And it's a shame that Limp Bizkit had to be a ****ty nu-metal band fronted by Fred Durst because Wes Borland and Sam Rivers are fairly decent musicians. Case in point is this song. What a wicked bassline... and that tone is delicious!

boo boo 07-26-2009 11:57 PM

It's like Fred Durst was genetically engineered by a group of scientists to be the biggest douchebag ever.

Surely there are douchebags that have more relevance in the year 2009 than Fred Durst. He's probably a grocery store clerk somewhere by now.

Antonio 07-27-2009 12:04 AM

to be honest, i think if Durst actually had some dignity and stopped himself from becoming such a joke, Limp Bizkit may have actually had a chance at becoming icons in music.

You didn't hear about Limp Bizkit getting back together and having a new album coming out?

...

Well of course you didn't.

And is it just me or is Fred Durst looking really creepy right now?

asshat 07-27-2009 12:53 AM

The whole nu-metal genre seemed like it was created by a retarded teenage focus group.

"we need guitars that rock!!..no, we need some wicked scratches!!...no we need him to tear **** up on the mic...with a wicked bass solo"

...may it rest in piss.

SATCHMO 07-27-2009 12:54 AM

I'm getting the plastic explosives ready for their tour. If there's any sort of way I can contribute to the greater benefit of our society in general it would be the mass annihilation of anyone who shows up for a Limp Bizkit reunion show.

You're thinking way too small. It's a good thing I'm already ahead of ya.

A girl actually died at one of their shows here a few years back. She got crushed to death. It was really sad. Limp Bizkit told their crowd to calm down but nobody listened, so Limp Bizkit walked off staged and refused to play. Kudos to them for that. I still dislike their music though.

SATCHMO 07-27-2009 01:06 AM

I was actually at a festival where they played and even though I never went down to the actual crowd area, their pit looked like a feeding frenzy of sharks.

RonaldSays 07-27-2009 04:51 AM

I was at a festival earlier this month where they were playing. Fred Durst still is a sad excuse for a frontman even worse than before their come-back. I checked out another band but heard some pieces of them. Still sounded horrible.Too bad Wes Borland is wasting his talents in that band since he's a pretty good guitar player. I agree with an earlier post that some songs are even pretty decent because he lays down a killer riff.

Look on the bright side, she didn't suffer their whole set.

Karma Police - Panic at the Disco

Shameful stuff.

SaunRon 07-27-2009 06:00 PM

Time (Clock of the Heart) by Culture Club. I love that song but can't stomach any of their others.

Stop being such a Lennon fanboy.

NumberNineDream 07-29-2009 07:59 AM

Antonio 07-29-2009 09:46 AM
