Oh man I just skimmed it on Spotify

Someone should buy the rights to that cover and put the right music in there

I'll say it again your tastes remind me of when I was a teenager just getting into music
They aren't original or groundbreaking but I do really love listening to Nirvana.

Me too. I don't listen to them that often but when I do I'm always taken by their power and chemistry. They hit the spot. Plus, you can feel their importance.

Many a good band has fallen sick with the Nu-metal craze going on around this time. I don't fault them too much.

Frown picks Joshua Tree as one of the worst albums of all time.

For someone who goes on and on being pretentious, I'm surprised that you can stand a half second of a band as full of itself as U2. I can see why they made waves at the time, but the album has been nothing but bloated and dull to me no matter how many times I've tried.

Also is your confusion over me disagreeing with you and the love for that album or is it more because it's something you would have expected me to like? Genuine question.

To be fair, U2 is awful.

Nah. It's been a big thing for a long time around this forum to, in my opinion, unduly bash U2. They're not my favorite band by any means and I think they should've hung it up long ago, but in their heyday they made some good stuff. I think if people heard them today without all the baggage of their fame, they'd recognize some of their music as worthwhile post punk. "I Will Follow" comes to mind as an example of what I'm talking about.

Don't worry Janzs, I'm not being trendy, I've hated them for as long as I can remember. Plus, positive opinions from people like you is what has made me revisit and reevaluate my opinion on that album to see if there's anything worthwhile there, but I still haven't found what I'm looking for.
