Real music fans kidnap the bands and keep them in a meat locker.

Real fans give oral sex to support their favorite artists' sexual needs.

I've offered this to Mariah Carey several times but all I get are cease and desist letters from her lawyers.

then force them to record onto reel-to-reels and then keep the band frozen so you'll have the only recording of it in existence.

I'd like to force Metallica to make a record that continues where the non-album track I Disappear left off. Back then, I actually thought it was a sign of things to come. Imagine my disappointment when I waited for years and got St. Anger instead.

I have an empty tape in a drawer and a tape deck in my stereo. Send me 20 dollars and you'll have a 90 minute unique album of something pointless.

I Disappear definitely has some new sonic properties to it, but they could have named an album of such material as a Load follow-up and it would have worked.

UnLoad
OverLoad
****Load

etc.

I mean an album with "I Disappear" as the lead single would have had all the strengths and disappointments as the two preceding albums so I don't know why you'd be disappointed by St. Anger. You already have those two albums, were you really yammering for a third?

Because I like the vibe of I Disappear and it had tight songwriting.
St. Anger is a bloated mess and way more sonically repetitive as an album than the preceding albums. I don't hate it, but it's the first album Metallica has made that bores me too much as a whole that I want to own it. It only got worse from there. So in hindsight, an album of material that follows the lead of I Disappear seems even more appealing to me now than back then.
