Now it's about whatever neon colored reissue of an INXS album is being released in "low" quantities. I'm 100% second hand. I don't have a distributor. I buy from collectors and family members, give a fair price for what I sell things for 20%-50% depending on what it is, and price the record fairly but realistically.

We pulled 50k since we opened July 7th.

I don't need that stupid commercial bullsh*t.
Nice, my favourite local spot has taken the same route, the owner wears homemade "Fuck RSD" shirt for anyone who asks. Sounds like it attracts the worst customers too.

That being said, we were very busy today due to it being our last day open until next week. We are closing for five days for vacation. Had a bunch of calls looking for Tyler the Creator records and whatnot. Politely told them we are not participating in it this year. Thing that sucks is I have to do this two more times this year since they broke it up over three days.
I'm hoping other places follow suit tbh.

My partner has like no opinion whatsoever on anything so he doesn't really care if we do it or not. Sometimes he feels like we should do it every year but I'm always against it. His point is that it gives us promotion for the store and he's right about that to a degree but this year was just too confusing so he didn't care.

I'm just happy that I bought some records today and there was a copy of Arvo Part/Tabula Rasa which I've been looking for forever.

So you're like a 50s married couple where he as the husband technically has the right to make all the decisions but you as the wife badger him until he does what you want and his privilege lets him think everything's great or at least confusing enough that he just leaves it to you and since you're doing all the work behind the scenes you're bitter and jaded and waiting for second wave feminism?

You're like 75% spot on. I'm not waiting for anything.

The fact that you say you're not waiting for anything is why you're a 50s wife and not a 60s wife.

^ Nick pick, Key. I don't have any Nick on vinyl, although I do have all his CDs. I love his guitar playing and would like to hear the vinyl version for that aspect especially. I've probably listened to Bryter Layter the most over the years. On Pink Moon, I think "Things Behind The Sun" and "Parasite" are my favorite tracks.

P.S.: I have the same guitar that Nick is pictured with on the cover of Bryter Layter (the Guild M-20).

That's awesome! Yeah I got into nick drake years ago and finally decided to start adding his music to my vinyl collection. It sounds very good on vinyl as well. Highly recommend.
