What album did you listen to? They're earlier material is great. Then again, I kind of like folk music too.

The first, self-titled one from 1968

Fair enough. I did like that album though their next three were better. They weren't as good later on I'll admit. Maybe they ran out of Dylan songs to cover

Interesting. A punk rocker gone country. Singer with Bad Religion, Graffin went solo in 1997 and this is his third album. Um, okay, how do I say this without giving offence? This is, what's the phrase? Oh yeah: ****ing brilliant! I'm totally into this from the first note: hard-edged country with a real feel of honesty. Just listen to “Lincoln's Funeral Train”. Unbelievable. I can't believe this guy was a punk: he sounds like he was brought up on a ranch riding a horse and shootin' beer cans in the yard. Title track's another great song, but then I think I could say that about every track here so far. There's gospel then in “Time of Need”, utilising the old “Amen” refrain. Su-****ing-perb. Lots of bluegrass too. Just an excellent album, and it will take quite something to top this on my list at the end of this month.

Check out more from this artist? Oh hell yeah

Good stuff. Fairly standard thrash metal I guess, with somewhat overwrought vocals, but a decent slab of humour (check the “announcement” before “Intention to Deceive”) and some great riffing. Overall I'd say a decent thrash album but nothing really stands out to me. Great for headbanging, not quite so great for reviewing. Havok indeed.

Actually, the last two tracks are really good, so there is that. "Wake Up" in particular blows every part of your anatomy off. Cool.

Five tracks in and everything is great so far. Maybe I'm an Americana fan? Who knows, but this is great. “Hungry Ghost” stands out, as does the sparse, acoustic “Halfway There”, and “Fourteen Floors” is another standout, mostly just piano accompanying her. Excellent stuff again. Worth listening to all that damn K-pop, I can tell you!

Yeah, I'm gonna stop this now. It started off, I thought there might be something there, but there isn't. It's just got more and more annoying as it goes on and I'm done with it now.
