From the little I've heard of punk, this is everything I hate about it. Also yer wan is a terrible singer imo, but maybe that's standard in punk?

have you listened to Regina Spektor? i only listened to a little bit of this project (although i do plan on coming back to it) but it instantly made me think of Regina's work. top notch stuff that i have a feeling you would love.
No, I haven't. I'll look into that thanks.

Even if I hated it, glad to help someone else appreciate something I could clearly not. Glad you're enjoying it.

Nobody going to remark on my unexpected reaction to two hip-hop albums, and one jazz one?

Well I'm not about to buy a new PC just yet. What I mean is I'd have to download, install and work through it to see how it works. At the moment I'm not ready to undertake such a project, though it is planned in the future.

Like say I get one of these PCs (actual Windows PCs cause... like... that's Windows, right?) how difficult would Linux be to use as a day-to-day OS?

And most importantly, how is Linux as a gaming platform? If I'm gonna invest in a computer it's gonna be for gaming and if Linux will just make it a pain in the ass to get games working then I don't even care.

My main worry too. How hard is it to switch over from using Microscum to Linux, and also, is it really worth it?

Thanks for that reminder of my mortality.
On his deathbed, wasting away from cancer of the mouth, Trollheart groans to himself "Why oh why did I not try Linux earlier? My only regret is that I have but one operating system to give..."

Windows:
Start up PC -> wait 15 minutes for it to install updates -> finally login -> computer runs slowly due to too many start-up background processes eating up CPU

Linux:
Start up PC -> Wait 8 seconds -> login -> Watch porn
