The Dark Side of The Moon vs Led Zeppelin IV vs Ok Computer vs The Rise and Fall
Which of these classics is the best?
|
The only reason I'm here is because **** Pink Floyd. Go Radiohead.
|
They're all great albums, but I'm a Bowie fan so I went with Ziggy.
Are these your four favorite albums, Hijuko? |

I'll only go with Zep if I can skip StH.

This is kinda like asking which season is the best for wild raunchy sex with a partner who's willing to do anything?

I hate anonymous polls.
Did Chules not pick LZ4? I voted for Ziggy btw. I've heard all four of these and it's close between Ziggy, DSOTM and LZ4. The Radiohead album is out of the question. I dunno what it is with Radiohead, I like a couple of their tracks (Everything In It's Right Place, High & Dry) but they are a really dull 'try hard', artsy fartsy kind of band imo, and no matter how many times I've listened to them I don't really get the wankathon, and feel like large amounts of people 'like them' because they are afraid of not 'getting it'. However I was told by a guy recently that that was his opinion too, until he saw them live and they were phenomenal. |

You saw her expression. That was after she's been told who it is she's supposed to ****. Like "The Batlord? Oh **** no! Even I have some standards!" |

I would disagree with OK Computer. Even though I voted for Ziggy too, OK Computer IMO was probably the best album of the nineties and came off as classic psychedelia for me. If I was going to leave an album out it probably would have been Led Zep IV, not because I don't like it, because I do. But I don't even think IV is Led Zeppelin's best album. I'm actually partial to III believe it or not. |
Physical Graffiti is probably my favourite.
|
I like Physical Graffiti a a lot too, also the first two LPs.
|
3 is my favorite.

Do you mean Coda or In Through the Out Door?
|
Presence was really a let down for me. In through the Outdoor was okay, but I didn't think much of Coda.

I've heard 1, 2, 4, HOTH and PG. I would rank them: PG > 4 > 1 > 2 > HOTH All of the above are 8/10 albums at least though. |
You should take an afternoon and go through their entire catalog.

3 2 1 HOTH 4 ITTOD PG Presence But they’re all fantastic. |
I'd go...
3 2 Physical Graffiti 1 4 Houses of the Holy In Through the Outdoor Presence Coda The first six are classics, the lower three- meh. |
I think you should revisit ITTOD.
|
I've never listened to a Led Zeppelin album. Same with Bowie and Radiohead. Just a few songs here and there.
|
Damn
With what I think I know of your taste I would say start with Kid A and Low |
I guess
Ok Computer Rise and Fall Dark Side Led Zeppelin |

You're a garagehead and you haven't listened to a Bowie album? Well, that's disappointing. Listen to Ziggy Stardust right this instant! :band: |
