The Dark Side of The Moon vs Led Zeppelin IV vs Ok Computer vs The Rise and Fall

Which of these classics is the best?

The Batlord 11-04-2017 12:24 PM

The only reason I'm here is because **** Pink Floyd. Go Radiohead.

rubber soul 11-04-2017 12:31 PM

They're all great albums, but I'm a Bowie fan so I went with Ziggy.

Are these your four favorite albums, Hijuko?

I’m kind of embarrassed i went with Dark Side. I just love Floyd.

Paul Smeenus 11-04-2017 12:46 PM

I'll only go with Zep if I can skip StH.

Chula Vista 11-04-2017 12:47 PM

This is kinda like asking which season is the best for wild raunchy sex with a partner who's willing to do anything?

a) Spring
b) Summer
c) Fall
d) Winter

e) None of the above. I'm not looking for a girl who'll be down with eating shit coming out of my ass while I suck the dog cum out of her pussy.

Uhm, then don't ask her to do those things.

Duh.

I believe they can do amazing things with blow-up dolls these days.

You would if she were real.

Cuthbert 11-04-2017 01:56 PM

I hate anonymous polls.

Did Chules not pick LZ4?

I voted for Ziggy btw. I've heard all four of these and it's close between Ziggy, DSOTM and LZ4. The Radiohead album is out of the question. I dunno what it is with Radiohead, I like a couple of their tracks (Everything In It's Right Place, High & Dry) but they are a really dull 'try hard', artsy fartsy kind of band imo, and no matter how many times I've listened to them I don't really get the wankathon, and feel like large amounts of people 'like them' because they are afraid of not 'getting it'.

However I was told by a guy recently that that was his opinion too, until he saw them live and they were phenomenal.

I mean yeah but I'd at least like a minimum of a week's downtime for the dog *** to get washed out before I ****ed her.

Ah she's a bitch anyway. :)
You saw her expression. That was after she's been told who it is she's supposed to ****. Like "The Batlord? Oh **** no! Even I have some standards!"

I would disagree with OK Computer. Even though I voted for Ziggy too, OK Computer IMO was probably the best album of the nineties and came off as classic psychedelia for me.

If I was going to leave an album out it probably would have been Led Zep IV, not because I don't like it, because I do.

But I don't even think IV is Led Zeppelin's best album. I'm actually partial to III believe it or not.

Cuthbert 11-04-2017 02:47 PM

Physical Graffiti is probably my favourite.

rubber soul 11-04-2017 02:54 PM

I like Physical Graffiti a a lot too, also the first two LPs.

OccultHawk 11-04-2017 02:55 PM

3 is my favorite.

Both pretty good. Probably prefer the first.

That was the one I didn't really listen to (as well as their last album).

OccultHawk 11-04-2017 02:58 PM

Do you mean Coda or In Through the Out Door?

rubber soul 11-04-2017 03:03 PM

Presence was really a let down for me. In through the Outdoor was okay, but I didn't think much of Coda.

I meant Presence but I just checked and it isn't the last one.

I've heard 1, 2, 4, HOTH and PG.

I would rank them:

PG > 4 > 1 > 2 > HOTH

All of the above are 8/10 albums at least though.

OccultHawk 11-04-2017 03:12 PM

You should take an afternoon and go through their entire catalog.

Chula just hacked Occult's account!

Why is because it’s all worth listening to. I don’t disagree with your ranking. It’s just opinion. From best to worst for me:

3
2
1
HOTH
4
ITTOD
PG
Presence

But they’re all fantastic.

rubber soul 11-04-2017 03:37 PM

I'd go...

3
2
Physical Graffiti
1
4
Houses of the Holy
In Through the Outdoor
Presence
Coda

The first six are classics, the lower three- meh.

OccultHawk 11-04-2017 03:50 PM

I think you should revisit ITTOD.

Oriphiel 11-04-2017 04:10 PM

I've never listened to a Led Zeppelin album. Same with Bowie and Radiohead. Just a few songs here and there.

OccultHawk 11-04-2017 04:16 PM

Damn

With what I think I know of your taste I would say start with Kid A and Low

Stephen 11-04-2017 04:31 PM

I guess

Ok Computer
Rise and Fall
Dark Side
Led Zeppelin

You're a garagehead and you haven't listened to a Bowie album? Well, that's disappointing. Listen to Ziggy Stardust right this instant! :band:
