Captain Beefheart or ICP?
Okay, banters and banterettes. Who's the better artist?
|
ICP makes great free jazz but Beefheart was a lot earlier and so much more innovative and influential. Overall pretty incomparable even though there's a clear superior.

I am currently drunk and watching a weird Japanese anime about a brother and sister who clearly want to get it on and that's about all I have to say about anything cause this thread is lame.

I haven't voted yet because in fairness it would oblige me to listen to at least one ICP track all the way through, and so far I've only lasted about one minute in one song I'm afraid. :(

with Tom Jones, Lulu, Moody Blues, P.J. Proby, and The Supremes. It may have been interesting to see Procol Harum, Long John Baldry, a pre-Spooky Tooth band that I can't remember the name of, and Julie Driscoll & Brian Auger's Trinity. OK, I checked the DVD of the concert and it was Spooky Tooth and not their pre-SP band, Art, that played three tunes. Here's Procol Harum doing Repent Walpurgis: |
