No. But if they were, they would have been the Metrebirds. We spell it differently. Or rather, you do.

They were. There's a reason it's called that. Metric system only came in around the 1970s I think? Later than the Yardbirds were around, anyway.

They changed their name to "The Point Nine One Four Birds" after being handed over to English management. They had to revise to "The One Point Zero Nine Three Six Birds" when they regrouped.

When I was eight years old, I had those albums from M.C. Hammer and the News Kids On the Block. Since I was only eight years old then, I eventually lost them.

God bless you and both acts always!!!

P.S. I don't know why people get embarrassed about what music they purchase. Everybody likes whatever music it is that they like for a reason.

There is that period of time between playing at recess and starting a family where most people care about what other people think.

No way I would have admitted to any of my 15 year old heathen cronies that I thought Karen Carpenter had a beautiful voice! It actually took me many years before finally buying a CD by The Carpenters. I'll spare you the details of the purchase but I'm certainly better for facing my demons.

^^^ Why would there be an issue with anyone who is a fan of that lady? Was this before or after she died? To me, she was and still is a wonderful singer. My earliest memory of Christmas music is the Christmas Portrait album that she did with her brother and so my Christmas times are not complete until I hear it at least once. :) :) :)

God bless you and Richard always!!!

Holly
