English Girls - The Maine - Something familiar?

Hey there
Im new here so i hope im in the right Corner of the Forum.
So earlier today my sister reffered me to The Maine.
One of the Songs she showed me was English Girls.
But thats where something struck me, not the song itself but rather a Tune in the Song sounded incredibly familiar but i just cant tell from where. The first time you can hear it is around 0:04. Then again at around 1:06, subtune at around 2:05, 2,45 and i think thats it.

Maybe someone can help me with this. reminds me of some Song im pretty sure i already heard in my Childhood.

Reminds me of the guitar solo in the Goo Goo dolls "Iris" to be honest ( just the melody).

Im afraid that's not it

However i did look it up. Turns out i do know the Song and i havent heard it inquite a long time so thanks for re-discovering that for me.

But yea as i said im afraid thats not it. has to be something else.
