The Fugs existed a few years earlier though.

I like what Frown wrote.

From my view:

There’s a lumpy synchronization about how they play that’s very appealing. The vocals and the guitar and the drums all swirl around and almost echo each other. That’s a way to describe harmonizing but it’s so surreal you’re almost forced to look for other words.

Also, they’re very tightly packaged songs. They’re not ****ing around. They’re not making an artistic statement. They’re simply cute songs but it’s as if they’re created in world with entirely different musical rules (theory) that only they understand.

They’re insanely pure. They’re completely unpolluted. It’s not driven by conventional musical standards but it’s not ego driven either. They’re just great songs that don’t sound like anything else ever recorded.

They’re a complete one off. The right time, the right space, the right instruments, the right chemistry, the right amount of knowledge, the right humility- so many things had to fall into place to make this happen it’s a goddamn miracle.

They represent hope. They prove that a different approach can work. Their music says that we don’t have to be stuck in this paradigm. It’s up to us.

I really hope they're legal cause I don't think OH cares. I mean it's been like 50 years but it's the principle.

They're all legal now except for the dead one.
