Earthling isn't bad either, but not that exciting.
The only thing I know about Earthling is that the cover is a bit ugly and that it's got electronic beats.

I've listened to less than a third or a quarter of Bowie's albums, so there's going to be a lot of surprises along the way. The 80's, 90's and post 2000 especially. People usually just tell you to listen to the oldies, like with any other artist who's been around for so long.

I think that's the only one I know after Never Let Me Down. Which did.

Can't remember what I said about this album in the old thread for the same album, but I didn't rate it very highly.

It maybe seems better to me now, after having been through the last few albums leading up to this.

The thing with this album is, that while it's got some really good, very theatrical tunes here and there, it also just feels bloated with some pretty standard rock doodling that's not going to do a lot for someone like me, who doesn't much appreciate the basics of classic rock.

"Soul Love" and "Star" are some of my favorites on the album. A lot of stuff peppered all throughout the album that I could live without.

3/5 again. Same reasoning as with Hunky Dory, pretty much. I can't wait until we get out of this straight forward 70's rock phase.
