The Nile was an alright addition!

One of my favorite Nile songs! In the Name of the God Amun is another really great crushing song. Hopefully their next album will be as memorable and great as What Should Not Be Unearthed.

well I dunno about pinpointing specific songs but they'd be on these albums to name a few

Glad to see that not everyone is discounting newer Nile material. I really liked their last two albums a lot.

I love the instrumental stretch that starts at 3:00. I always turn up the volume when I get to that part.

Also would not refer to Metallica as all that brutal or heavy.

Not in general, but I do think Fight Fire With Fire is still genuinely a very crushing and heavy 80's thrash song.

That's a good song, but early Asphyx sounds so much heavier and destructive than that. The production is so damn sterile like so much modern death metal, which just kills most of the brutality that it could have. That snare sounds like a tin can.

This would be a way better pick:
