Most Sonically Violent Songs

Self-explanatory. Post those songs that leave you wide-eyed at the fact that a human being could conceive of such brutality like you just got rocked by a frenzied Mike Tyson.

The song that inspired this thread.

Just off the top of my head.

windsock 01-08-2019 02:04 PM

And this, to a slightly lesser extent.

I'm gonna ruin this thread with my totally wrong take on what "brutal" metal should sound like:

well I dunno about pinpointing specific songs but they'd be on these albums to name a few

Glad to see that not everyone is discounting newer Nile material. I really liked their last two albums a lot.

I love the instrumental stretch that starts at 3:00. I always turn up the volume when I get to that part.

Mondo Bungle 01-08-2019 02:19 PM

can't undersell this though

Frownland 01-08-2019 02:19 PM

lol @ Metallica

OccultHawk 01-08-2019 02:20 PM

I’ve said this before but The Rolling Stones recorded the most violent music I’ve ever heard.

MicShazam 01-08-2019 02:27 PM

Violent dad rock.

Also would not refer to Metallica as all that brutal or heavy.

A band that isn't extreme metal but had a lot of songs that have that nice, heavy feeling in abundance was Cathedral:

Not in general, but I do think Fight Fire With Fire is still genuinely a very crushing and heavy 80's thrash song.

Frownland 01-08-2019 02:29 PM

lol @ thrash in general being in this thread

The Batlord 01-08-2019 02:35 PM

Everyone but Mondo and possibly Frown are ruining my thread. ****ing Nothingface? Did your mother breast feed you into high school?

MicShazam 01-08-2019 02:36 PM

I don't even like "sonically violent songs" tbh

It's either that, or ruin the thread. Tough decision.

Mondo Bungle 01-08-2019 02:39 PM

You're just gonna ignore the other two songs I posted then you mong?

Unitron 01-08-2019 02:44 PM

Come on, okay maybe Metallica was a lame pick from me, but you can't tell me that Living Death, Razor, Holy Moses, and Pestilence can't fit with this thread.

Yes. Yes I can. At least pick something like this. It wouldn't really be a pick for me for this thread but at least I could consider it a credible opinion for a pussy like you.

MicShazam 01-08-2019 03:01 PM

I'm confused about why you posted the confused black guy meme.

I should just re-post it in response

This would be a way better pick:

Mondo Bungle 01-08-2019 03:04 PM

cuz I'm confused about your run of the mill choice

BFOT are brutal but also a heavy recommendation, one of the most creative and dismembering screamo acts there's been and that's saying something
