what about the song he did with NIN?
I'm afraid of Americans?
I would like to see him do something with Manson since it is obvious that Manson idolizes him....

Well Manson really isn't even a person. He's half woman, quarter wannabe Trent Reznor, quarter wannabe David Bowie.

maybe you're thinking of the glam days of Mechanical Animals, but half woman? No.

The closest thing to Reznor-like was Anti-Christ Superstar, which Reznor happened to produce (some of the songs actually sounded like potential NIN songs). But, Mechanical Animals and HolyWood were mostly Twiggy's work, and sufficient enough to give Manson a distinct sound. After Twiggy left, there is no Marilyn Manson. It's just crap.

As far as Bowie, I didn't like the stuff he did with Reznor, and I doubt I'd like anything he'd do with Manson.

Yeah, I think Manson's industrial SOUND has been heard many times before but it's unique in a couple ways so I don't question him...kind of like I question the animal fetish trent reznor has...

you know, I still like Manson too. They got worse progressively, but I think most bands do. I really dont care what people have to say about his image or his "gimmick". Somewhere along the way, his anti-christian message somehow implied that he was satanic. I really hate it when people say that.
But as Golden Age suggests, Manson is nothing without Twiggy, even if they had that guy from KMFDM replace him.

Right you both are, and Manson covered new grounds with his whole satanic image....But answer me this question, and it has nothing to do with the thread..
What is up with Trent Reznor and ****ing animals??? I feel like I'm taking goddamn crazy pills.
