Psychological effects for female fans attracted by boy bands

Are there any scientific theories on why girls get too excited every time boy bands make their appearance? Like, for instance every time Justin Bieber or One Direction gets on stage, most of their female fans always scream on the top of their lungs. It's been always like that since The Beatles, Michael Jackson, and New Kids On The Block. On the other hand, why do boys get less excited when female artists appear on stage? Are they less excited when Taylor Swift or Katy Perry make their surprise appearances?

MicShazam 01-24-2019 12:55 AM

Something to do with cooties, I think.

GunmouthGrace 01-24-2019 01:13 AM

On the one hand, I am genuinely curious why women tend to be such screamers compared to men.

On the other, I'm internally struggling to not make any more trite references to op's disdain for naked chicks in music vids.

MicShazam 01-24-2019 01:23 AM

Maybe men are emotionally repressed and only scream when they murder each other.

The Batlord 01-24-2019 03:11 AM

I screamed when I saw Katy Perry but it was "If I can't have you then no one will!".

I've never understood choreography beyond performance and entertainment, to be honest. In plays and broadway musicals, yes, I get it, it's part of the show and adds flare to the experience, but when you have the production cost of a multi-million dollar televised sponsor, it stops making sense to me. If I had stadium-tier music production equipment, for example, I honestly wouldn't give a damn about what was happening on the stage outside of the music itself. I'd probably be too busy getting my jollies off at the fact that I can smack my lips into a microphone like the Honey Smacks frog and produce a bass resonance so awesome it'd register on the Richter scale. Music has always been kind of a sexist thing, which is unfortunate because I've met a ****load of very talented female musicians over the years, all of whom of which have told me at one point or another that they don't want to be recognized for being female musicians, they want to be recognized for being musicians, which to me is understandable.

Well played. Understandable.

Zhanteimi 01-24-2019 04:01 AM

Because women are gayer than men.

The trick is not to scream. That way, she won't notice you sneaking up on her.

How old are you? What year is this? Your posts make you seem like a 70 year old ultra-religious man. Is your name Barney too? I think I'm on to something. Go scream at a cloud.

That's gotta be it, pretty much.
I feel stupid for missing it.

wtf am I in 2011 again or something? Why are we talking about One Direction and Bieber like they're anything close to being a thing?

Why don't U go and play Call of Duty and listen to Bieber, you pleb. I'm gonna play Dark Souls and listen to Tool like a real hardcore neckbeard with an irrational hatred for things that normal people like.

My voice is pretty deep so I can't scream at concerts unless I want to sound like I'm burning alive, but I do yell often when it gets hype

BarneyHasAnOctagonHead 01-24-2019 10:50 AM

Justin Bieber sucks. I find it annoying for young kids to scream for that piece of garbage talent!

The Batlord 01-24-2019 11:00 AM

They're probably just screaming for you to let them out of the van.

its testosterone driven in men mostly. that being said, there are several different types of men ranging from the psychotic-lets-break-EVERYTHING(including myself)-in-the-moshpit to the OMGOMGOMGOMGOMG-its-will-young-singing-grace-lets-all-cry types and several types between. I fall into the (ditching the dashes in favor of the easier to use quotes) "i friggin love this band, but i cant dance at all, so ill headbang and/or sway a bit and shout along with the songs i love" type who would love an autograph, but wont stand in line for 3 hours nor barge in front of everyone else even tho im 6'4" and and build like a college wrestler. In short, it has a lot to do with the psychological profile of the person and the effect it has on them. Women, well, the girly ones, love to scream when excited... or cry... or both... and are known to show their emotions more easily in most instances for typical examples of the genders. Men are more proned to show their elation in acts of physical aggression, and women with jubilation. Mind you, these statements are stereotypes which are derived from observation of both genders over several decades and these stereotypes can easily be justified by examples found throughout psychological papers, books, newspapers and (dare i say) the internet. Its just the programming of the gender from the species youre inquiring about.

1. You make a post flipping out about women's naked bodies

2. You make a post about "girls getting excited about boy bands" like you're talking about another species

3. You make your profile picture what you've made it

My dude, your misogyny is showing.

Zhanteimi 01-24-2019 04:32 PM

Love the new avatar, OP. Definitely trolling MB well.

windsock 01-24-2019 06:38 PM

OP is indeed a good troll but I'm almost 99% sure that wasn't per their request.

...am I being trolled by pointing this out?

BarneyHasAnOctagonHead 01-24-2019 06:49 PM

Now Justin Bieber is married to that Hailey Baldwin chick. I wonder how long this marriage will last...

BarneyHasAnOctagonHead 01-24-2019 07:57 PM

Getting back on topic, it's quite annoying to hear girls scream on top of their lungs for Justin Bieber. This was common a few years ago when he was a breakout star, primarily because he is the cutest kid in the music business. I guess now that they have eventually outgrown the Bieber craze now that he is all grown up and got married to the Baldwin chick.
