I love everything about the first song (Gregory and the Hawk - Oats We Sow) - Meredith's voice, her lyrics and guitar playing. I always wished Genesis did more songs like For Absent Friends: all acoustic guitars (around three minute or less).

Dharma & Greg - first song: I liked the video, and the way he keeps saying 'what' amuses me. The voices in the second song almost gave me an allergic reaction. Sorry, I hate autotune. And that rapper that comes in around 2:10 is uncalled for. The barometer has spoken.
Oriphiel - what the hell
Blarobbarg - I don't really listen to any metal, so this is new for me. I think it's the machismo in metal that usually puts me off, but I actually liked this. It has some things in common with shoegaze, I think I like it for the same reason
Dharma & Greg - part 2 - Cool, I have often thought that I should check out the Wu-Tang Clan. I like it quite well, especially the first song. Love the bass and piano.
Neapolitan - That's fantastic, those matching early-Beatles clothes in the first video, awwww. I like the song too, that sudden riff at 2:44 is cool. I adore the second song, it's like a Japanese Beatlemania version of the Raincoats. The way that they used the Please Please Me riff is awesome. And then it ends with the Strawberry Fields outro, great! Love the third one too, mesmerizing riff which combines with the bass in a really cool way

I don't know how apparent The Beatle reference was in the last video was but Plastic Girl in Closet were playing on a roof top. ;)

I try to make a connection with the songs I post. Tennessee Thomas is/was the drummer for The Like, her father played drums for Elvis Costello. Ryan Ross and Jon Walker left Panic! @ the Disco and formed The Young Veins. Z Berg (the lead singer/guitar player of The Like) sang backing vocals on a few of the songs on their album Take A Vacation! I think at the time Ryan Ross and Z Berg were an item and you can see how they both went retro - complete with black & white videos - like they just stepped out of the 60s.

Elvis Costello & The Attractions - (I Don't Want To Go To) Chelsea

I'm glad you liked it! I think that's a lot of people's feeling about the genre... if you liked that, give this a shot. This is a black metal band that incorporates a LOT of shoegaze and dream pop... some might argue that this album isn't really metal at all, but it is quite beautiful.

Neapolitan - That first song swings, and it has a nice combination of sweetness and bite. I like the subtle edge to her voice. I tend to be a little suspicious of all things retro but this is kind of a blast. Loved the second one, it takes small twists and turns which make it captivating. I love Elvis Costello, I had never seen a music video of his but it doesn't disappoint. Those special effects hahaha
Blarobbarg - Yeah, I wouldn't have thought of this as metal. Mesmerizing, I really like it. It has some rhythm changes that work well.
Dharma & Greg - ...well. The lyrics are horrid of course, I did like the fiddle that opens the first song and gets repeated throughout, and why are there Japanese subtitles? Do these people still cling to the time when Germany and Japan were WWII allies? Apart from that the music wasn't exiting to me. The melody of the second and third song is the same as that of a Dutch children's song which goes 'a sweet little bunny had a fly on its nose' so that cracked me up.
Lucem Ferre - I really like the atmospheric swelling sound of the first song, cool chords too. Is the title a reference to Fellini? The sounds in the second song have a great texture. It's haunting in a dark way, which is cool, although I'd have to be in a certain mood to listen to his for sure. Is this what Batty means by your depressing trash rap? I like the third song in the same way as the first one. I like the higher tones of the on top of the lingering drone in the background. The first time that I hear rap which apparently has emo influences

I like a band that does retro stuff, it's fun. I guess it all depends how good it is too. The 13 Bats was Psychobilly Revival band that either sued or forced the 13 Bats the Batcave Revival band to change their name, which they did to Bat Nouveau.
