I really appreciate their meatiness. They've come through with some of the phattest riffs I know.

About halfway through Undertow and there are times when the band click over into kinda nice with those grooves but are still never memorable due to that 90s alt metal lack of human quality (I mean could that guitar actually have any less personality?) but this is still just halfway decent background music that doesn't distract me from tooling around on the internet. I think I'm gonna switch over to Aenima to stave off quickly engulfing boredom.

If I were to try to sit and listen to this actively without doing other things I'd probably agree with you, and Lateralus and 10,000 Days are definitely aggressively bad.

Yeah, I get what you're saying, both Bat and elph proved your point. I'm just nitpicking about the stereotype.

After six minutes I'm in agreement. Tool sound shoddy on Undertow but at least there's a bit of fun there. I'm pretty checked out on Aenima already though.
