It's not that everything is awful, everyone is corrupt, and nothing you do matters, but soulless pragmatism is above goodness and moral character and it's easy to ignore that sometimes but in the end the bottom line is king and doesn't care if you live or die cause there's always some naive fool behind you to take your place.

Yeah it can be totally good for your world view to ignore the world as it is. For real. Nobody can take in the entire world without some kind of chaser and be happy unless they're a sociopath.
