I remember the old version being a fossilized boomer monument; at least this one tries to dust things off, but not necessarily in the right way. So yeah, it's still ****, but I'm pleased to see Joni at #3

I don't care either but it does look deliberate that the top ten has historically had What's Going On? as it's one sop to black people on a list dominated by white rock artists from the 60s and 70s and now it's #1 with I believe two other black artists in the top ten.

They have been including electronic and world artists lately. And jazz a little. They really shouldn't call it an all time list because its just a list that covers their existence as a magazine. What does Rolling Stone know about Jazz anyway? But its a major publication so people get passionate.

At least with the first lists they believed the albums deserved their places, even if you didn't agree with the choices.

This one is just 'box ticking' so its even more pointless.
