1969 was the year I started to listen to music, so I'm curious. What are your top 10 albums of 1969?

I see you have a lot of R&B on your list. I was going to ask youwhat you thought about these that came out in '69:
The Meters - The Meters, Look-Ka Py Py
The Bar-Kays - Gotta Groove
Friends of Distinction - Grazin'
The 5th Dimension - Age of Aquarius

I thought they were great soul records, The 5th Dimension being the best one out of the 3 you listed in my opinion.

Not a bad list. Here's mine...

1. Let it Bleed- Rolling Stones
2. Abbey Road- Beatles
3. Tommy- The Who
4. Odessey and Oracle- Zombies
5. In the Court of the Crimson King- King Crimson
6. The Velvet Underground- Velvet Underground
7. Arthur (Or the Decline and Fall of the British Empire)- Kinks
8. Illuminations- Buffy Sainte- Marie
9. Unhalfbricking- Fairport Convention
10. Led Zeppelin II- Led Zeppelin

(Incidentally, Stand just missed this list, was definitely Sly's best album)

1. Stand
2. Life
3. There's A Riot Goin On
4. Dance To The Music
5. Greatest Hits album (3 extra songs)

More - Pink Floyd

Uncle Meat - The Mothers of Invention
Unhalfbricking - Fairport Convention
Blind Faith - Blind Faith
Santana - Santana
In The Court Of The Crimson King - King Crimson
Abbey Road - The Beatles
Let It Bleed - The Rolling Stones
Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere - Neil Young & Crazy Horse
Crosby Stills & Nash - Crosby Stills & Nash
