Thanks for reminding me of this beautiful song, QB. How could we have all forgotten it until now?!
Canada...Britain...the US: it rains a lot in those countries, but as I learned from Juan Luis Guerra's song, they have rain in the Dominican Republic too:- I'd translate the song title as: "I hope it rains coffee". This is an easy song to like, and anyone can sing the hook line, "Ojalá que llueva café en el campo" especially when you notice that the Spanish J is pronounced as an H, and the double L in "llueva" has a "Y" sound: you-e-va. Meanwhile, back in England:-
