Hey, since you're doing folk today, maybe folk rock tomorrow?

We can do folk rock, but in general I'm trying to keep genres and sub-genres pretty separate. So maybe pencil it in for next week, but not tomorrow. Tomorrow's genre will be... different.

Friday: Jungle

No, not that kind! Someone will surely have something to post here? Anyone?

Spoiler for Jungle:
"Jungle is a genre of dance music that developed out of the UK rave scene and sound system culture in the 1990s. Emerging from breakbeat hardcore, the style is characterised by rapid breakbeats, heavily syncopated percussive loops, samples, and synthesised effects, combined with the deep basslines, melodies, and vocal samples found in dub, reggae and dancehall, as well as hip hop and funk. Many producers frequently sampled the "Amen break" or other breakbeats from funk and jazz recordings. Jungle was a direct precursor to the drum and bass genre which emerged in the mid-1990s." - WIKI

Lennie De Ice - U Ask For It

Remarc - Sound Murderer - White House Records - WYHS 035 (1994)

Buju Banton Champion - Jungle Drum Remix

I took the liberty of posting a couple more cheeky ones as it looks like Jungle is still open. With the snare tuned up nice an’ high.

For tomorrow, could I propose a genre which I’m sure has been discussed before but which I haven’t seen on MB in the last few years?: Zeuhl

In the spirit of continuation, here's a bit of Zeuhl

"Coined by French musician Christian Vander, who claimed it meant "celestial" in his constructed language Kobaïan."

Magma - "Köhntarkösz, Pt. II" (released 1974?)

Weidorje – “Elohims Voyage” (1978)

https://audion1.bandcamp.com/track/elohims-voyage-live (1977)

ZAO – Metatron” (1975)

ZAO – “Merci Jacky” (1977)

Thanks Trollheart for allowing me to hijack your thread for a couple of days.
